Maureen came to the world of architecture via the long road. After a six year career in sales, she went back to graduate school for architecture (where she met Bob) and completed the goal she had as an undergrad – to get an architecture degree from the University of Michigan.
In her role as Principal, Maureen leads the interior design studio and manages the daily operations of the company including all client, financial, personnel and corporate decisions of Kraemer Design Group and Intramode. From contracts and accounting to human resource issues and scheduling, none of the details of running a business are overlooked.
Maureen also runs Intramode, LLC, a contemporary contract furnishings dealership. Intramode is an offshoot of Kraemer Design Group, and Maureen’s role at both Intramode and Kraemer Design Group provides a close working relationship between the two firms. By running both of these organizations simultaneously, she can combine the resources of both companies to generate the best product for all clients involved.
Design gave Maureen the path to do what she had always set out to do, shape spaces, solve problems, and prove there was a place for her in the field.
In her free time, Maureen enjoys needlework and reading, both of which give her a quiet, creative way to unwind.
