Architects at every career stage are supported in developing their own design voice while learning from experienced leaders, creating a culture of shared knowledge and continuous improvement. KDG actively supports licensure and the pursuit of 36 CFR 61 historic architect credentials as part of a long-term commitment to professional excellence and stewardship.
We support ongoing professional growth of our interior designers, encouraging NCIDQ certification as a reflection of our designers’ expertise, experience, and commitment to industry standards. Design at KDG is inherently collaborative, and our interior designers work closely with architects, creative specialists, and project teams to develop cohesive, well‑considered solutions.
Through active participation in trade shows and industry events, our team stays connected to emerging trends, products, and partners, ensuring our work remains informed, relevant, and forward-looking. We participate in a number of organizations beyond our office walls including IIDA, CREW, NEWH, ISHP, NCARB, AIA, CVU, SIA & APT EGL
Our Founders
Bob and Maureen Kraemer founded Kraemer Design Group in 1996 with a vision to blend creativity, technical expertise, and passion for revitalizing communities. In 2017, Brian Rebain strengthened the firm’s leadership by joining them as the third principal. Based in Detroit, KDG has grown into a nationally recognized practice delivering award – winning architecture, interior design, and historic projects across the city and country.
