Junior Interior Designer
LEED GA

Alex Zihe Wang has been studying spatial design for over ten years. His passion for architecture stems from its dual role as a vessel for human experience and a form of artistic expression. During his academic journey, Zihe actively participated in the research and design of various projects, developing a strong interest in the cultural and contextual dimensions of architecture. He chose to join KDG for its commitment to architectural traceability and urban heritage—principles that actively shape Detroit’s evolving urban landscape.

As a Junior Interior Designer, Zihe contributes across multiple phases of design. His responsibilities include developing project narratives, concept ideation, conceptual sketching, drafting floor plans, and providing Revit and rendering support. He also manages and organizes the material library and supports project teams through research and technical coordination. Zihe brings a thoughtful and analytical approach to design, helping translate ideas into compelling and coherent spatial experiences.

Why Design?

Seek, solve, create. Enjoy finding the balance between beauty, logic, and function.

Free Time

I am always trying new things. Traveling, photography, or handicrafts, even coding—anything that allows me to immerse.
