Sophia Palomino joins as a recent graduate of Eastern Michigan University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. During her experience as an Interior Design Intern at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, she gained valuable hands-on experience working on a range of projects—most notably the Ross Hotel Renovation. There, she contributed significantly to guest room design through casework drawings, finish selections, FF&E specifications, and coordination across project phases.
Sophia’s creative and technical strengths led her to the field of interior design, where she found the perfect balance between artistry and problem-solving. Sophia is particularly drawn to KDG for its strong focus on adaptive reuse, historic preservation, and diverse project types. She is passionate about creating immersive, intentional, and user-centered environments that are both inspiring and functional. She believes that thoughtful design has the power to shape the way we interact with the world and should positively impact the communities it serves.
Outside of work, Sophia enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and staying active in her church community.
