Megan Finley
Project Architect
AIA, NCARB

Megan is a Detroit Architect invested in creating thoughtful architecture that balances design excellence, technical rigor, and community impact. She earned her Bachelor in Art from Reed College, where she shored her in humanities, and Master in Architecture from the University of Michigan, where she explored the relationship between architecture and human experience. With over 5 years of experience, Megan has delivered residential, commercial, hospitality, and adaptive re-use projects from concept through construction administration.

A graduate and former co-chair of the Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program through AIA Detroit, Megan continues to advocate for emerging designers through interdisciplinary connections, mentorship, and community engagement.

Why Design?

Megan joined the design industry for its foundation in world building, cultural stewardship, and penchant for out-of-the-box thinking. Her gravitation to architecture is heavily guided by a childhood peppered with international travel to areas of great architectural heritage. Also influenced by a background in visual and performing arts, Megan’s design work is transformative and contextual, with selections that are at times unexpected or unconventional. Its Megan’s drive as an architect to encourage people-first design in built space.

Free Time

When she’s not renovating her 120 year old Detroit home, Megan is frequenting the local bakeries in search for the perfect scone, perusing a weekend estate sale, or attending a friend’s art show.
